One of the greatest joys of being a photographer isn't simply meeting new families—it's having the privilege of watching them grow over the years.
You've heard me say that some sessions introduce me to a family for the very first time. and others feel like catching up with old friends - and this is one of those families!
So, this summer, we met at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana to document one of the biggest milestones yet. I couldn't believe when momma first reached out and told me she wanted their annual family session to be a maternity session this year!
To find out their family was grown was so exciting, but then to hear it was TWINS - wow! Soon, this beautiful family of five will become a family of seven as they prepare to welcome two more sweet girls to their family.

Coxhall Gardens continues to be one of my favorite locations throughout Hamilton County for family photography. Summer brings beautiful flowers, tree-lined pathways, peaceful water features, and gardens that seem to change every few weeks.
Our evening began beneath soft overcast skies, creating gorgeous even light for portraits. Then, just as we were finishing, the clouds opened and the sun gave us the most beautiful golden glow.
Moments like those are one of the many reasons I love photographing families outdoors.
