With the kiddo on summer break, I've managed to fall off the "blog it" wagon which finds me frustrated (with myself yet again). But perhaps this is a good session to start back up on because if ANY Momma understands trying to juggle it all, it HAS to be Rasela.
So - meet, the Zipparo's. Mr. and Mrs. here are the parents of TWINS and decided to renew their vows for their 10 year wedding anniversary in November.
Having celebrated my own 10 year wedding anniversary this year, I find being invited to help celebrate their event, particularly sweet. Especially since it was husband Nicholas who took the initiate on it to turn Rasela's passing jokes into reality.
And oh how I'm glad he/they did. And when we all started talking about their "engagement" session (they did book a wedding package, after all. lol.) last winter, it quickly became apparent how wonderful it all was going to be. We talked about whether they wanted to make the "engagement" photos a family session instead or if they wanted it to be just them and they both agreed on the spot they wanted it to be them as a moment together. I couldn't have been happier with that news! That meant the session could be more date-night-fun (with all the wildly inappropriate jokes and games) with it. It also meant I'd really get to know Rasela & Nick as a COUPLE and not as Parents - which if you have children too, then you know what I mean.
Then, fast-forward a bit to once the snow passed and the weather began to dry out, and I met these two at a park in Carmel to dive head first into getting to know everyone. It was early May, the trees were bursting with blooms, the weather was perfect and Indiana was coming back to life after another droll, grey winter.

You know, it's always like a breath of fresh air, shooting again in the spring. And the colors never disappoint.
During the engagement session itself, Nick and Rasela were a chuckling pair, putting up with my silly games as we grabbed some amazing shots together. We chatted about the vow renewal itself, their families, how their actual wedding 10 years ago went down and about those two sweet little kiddos that keep them so busy as parents to multiples. And honestly with only ONE of my own, I have NO IDEA how they do it.

But it have no doubt they aren't just "doing it" but excelling all the way through! And quite frankly, I can't wait to meet the family and parents they told me all about as well as those cute little mischievous girls that will no doubt be flowergirls on mom and dad's big (renewal) day.
